Roof Bars
Hi all
I've got an estate with roof-rails, and want to fit some cross bars to allow me to carry bikes/boards etc when the boot is full of other bikes and boards :-)
I've seen a few estates with cross bars that are very low profile, and the bar itself seems to clamp round the rail rather than being supported on a carrier - i cant find a pic of it to explain it better. I like this style as it is not as visually intrusive when there is nothing else on the roof.
Are the peugeot parts or aftermarket?
Thanks
Tim

Re: Roof Bars
Like these? (I painted the ends silver myself)

They're the genuine pug ones mate, part# 9616 J6, £66.81 inc VAT from the stealer or I paid about £30 on ebay (although they'd had a hard life, hence the painted ends!

You know kids mate, he was nagging me to put him up there and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience, but he screamed a hell of a lot when I closed the lid and went in the house.....

Re: Roof Bars
When I was a kid my dad used to drive me to school in his van but he wasn't meant to take passengers so I sat on a lump of rubber in the back, facing backwards. Loved it

We used to sit in the boot of my Dad's old 240 vulva estate when we were youngsters waving at the cars behind, it was brilliant

Re: Roof Bars
Yeah it's great isn't it? I was helping by bro move some stuff with the pug when he moved house, had his oldest 2 lads, 11 and 8 at the time, rattling around loose in the back of the estate with the seats down (just slowly around the housing estate, he moved about 300yds
). They absolutely loved it.
