Car handles loads better. Rear camber was considerably out and the rear wheels were badly toe'd in....that'll explain the inner tyre wear then.
Tyres still very noisy.....apparently Linglong are shite anyway....heard them called "Chinese Ditchfinders" and they were bottom of the list in a review I read.
The Linglong equipped VW Golf Autocar used for its tests was still doing 27.8mph at the point where it had stopped on the Continentals. Overall the Continentals easily won, scoring top marks in all but one test. A consistent performance earned the GT Radials second place, but a wet lap time 3.4sec adrift of the Continentals indicated just how far even it falls short.
They are being replaced with a pair of Continental Ecos tomorrow which have some very good reviews.

Ye Gods. The ContiEcos are practically silent and have improved the rear handling by a vast amount. Laser alignment, 16" coupe wheels, strut brace, decent tyres feels and handles fantastically now

HI,
Here's one.
Strike up a rapport with your local part worn dealer.
If he's friendly he'll let you root through the stock (like mine very kindly does!)
If you agree a price first then you can probably dig out some low mileage dunlop/goodyear michelin etc.
and more importantly means that you can also inspect them before you commit.
The good thing is that you can experiment with different brands at a reasonable price.
If they're no good for you it means you've laid out less and can afford to throw them or sell on.
Me ... I try to get Bridgestones B350's, Pirelli p6000 (the best all round) or Michelin primacy's.
I've been down the route of cheap far eastern imports and nearly lost it on some bends/roundabouts
with them, even when new, and much prefer a 1/2 worn Michelin anyday.
