Does anyone recommend a good source for a good colour match?
The colour is KMWC, which corresponds to Monaco Blue.
I've been trying to touch up scratches and dings on mine. The original spray I got from Halfords was too light.
Tried Peugeot dealer, who I thought would have been the best place to go to. They ordered paint from my reg, code KMW. This paint, unfortunately, they called "Piana Blue", is far too dark, looks to be more of a china blue. Yet the cap shows KMW.
Has my paintwork faded that much that from dark blue it now appears fairly light? I just want a half decent match as now my paintwork looks patchy and horrendous.
Anyone recommend a good source for a good colour match for Peugeot paints?

Re: Monaco / Piana Blue KMWC
I'm not sure what colour primer it needs.
I used white rust-blocking primer along the door edges to get rid of chips, scrapes and scratches, but the spray with the Pug factory paint came up darker.
Perhaps a combo of gray and the Halfords lighter colour might be a better match. Will try in a small area that needs done (stonechipped / people getting in and out) at the lower part behind the rear door on top of the wheel (ensuring well masked, otherwise blue seats
) and see how that matches.
Cheers!

you also got to think of age of car colour fade ect. try painting it leave week or two then colour buff the full area with wet mop with a mix of t cut and polish

Didn't think colour fade would've been as bad as thatbarryj75 wrote:you also got to think of age of car colour fade ect. try painting it leave week or two then colour buff the full area with wet mop with a mix of t cut and polish
True enough its an 8 year old car. I remember the days of seeing ex-red / salmon pink vectras and polos that wouldn't have been much older

I'll leave it a couple of weeks in the sun and then T-cut / buff it like you say and see what it looks like then.
Cheers!

you could go to your local car paint shop (that supply the car body shops) and get them to match it and put it in a can for you.
my local one does this. better than trying to match it at halfords.

Found some place in Belfast called CoachFinish under "Car Paint & Lacquer Mnfrs & Suppliers", I will try them!
Thank you!
