Re: new sill or weld it?
send the garage a consumer direct letter. im pretty sure if you do that they will respond to fix it immediatley at their cost.
tell them its their falt so they pay for the fix,
you'll be amazed what them consumer direct letters can do ,
consumer direct tel number if you need it - 08454 04 05 06
give them a call, theres no way i would pay for damage a garage did to my car

I was thinking (dangerous) of getting a welder and doing it myself as my senator has a spot of welding needed. but i might give them a call to see what they say

Re: new sill or weld it?
Worth getting one of you're running old cars, don't rent one 'cos they're generally knackered, go to machine mart. I've been using a Clarke 90 for about 25 years (!), it's not very powerful but it's good enough for most things (including welding up a lawnmower today
). I would recommend one with gas, it's a bit more of a nuisance but it does put fires out...
What sort of issues you got with the Senny? I have some pictures of my efforts patching the arches on mine about somewhere, if you're interested...

Re: new sill or weld it?
You mean..? Oh, nice
Mine had stood for a few years in the previous owner's front garden (he had a 635CSi sitting next to it too) before I bought it so it had a bit of light rust. Arches were largely ok so I managed to fix them without effing the paint up
I'd better do this thumbnails 'cos there's a few:

Steve's world-famous pigeon sh!t welding
Incidently, I get to use a proper one (about the size of a fridge) at my mate's garage, then I can weld like a pro
