Evening all, having a little problem with the rear off-side door lock mechanism on my W reg 110 HDI, every now and then (well ok, most of the time) there is a horrible graunching noise from the lock motor when I try to unlock the car, both on the remote and using the key method. This means that the car doesn't unlock/lock when required. I've done the old door card off and filling the mechanism with WD40 but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Looking to change it, which brings me round (finally) to the question as to whether a rear lock from a D8 would fit into my D9? A quick search of the site didn't give me an answer, hence me throwing myself on your tender mercies. Can anyone help?
Cheers
Tim

Re: D8/D9 Door Locks
Ak
Service Box is confusing the hell out of me here...
D8:
9137 56 LEFT - STANDARD LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9138 68 RIGHT - STANDARD LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9137 58 LEFT - SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9138 70 RIGHT - SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9137 58 LEFT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING
9138 70 RIGHT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING
D9:
9137 58 LEFT - SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9138 70 RIGHT - SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING AND ALARM FORGET LIGHTS AND 4 DOORS SALOON/EST
9137 58 LEFT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING UNTIL RPO No. 08910 (April 2001)
9138 70 RIGHT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING UNTIL RPO No. 08910
9137 92 LEFT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING SINCE RPO No. 08911
9138 99 RIGHT - CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING SINCE RPO No. 08911
That's a tiny bit clearer, apparently W reg is 2000, so yours won't be the D9 only ones (in red), so looks like if you can find one with deadlocks it *should* fit.

Re: D8/D9 Door Locks
Steve, Sorry, was away from my computer all yesterday and have only just found your answer to my original question. Just wanted to say many thanks for your time and effort, quite a comprehensive set of results you found there.
Cheers
