I'd have told them to sod off! Why can any other nation have pride in their national flags bar the british? Lets face it, if they had BNP emblazened across it then fair enough, but I'd put them back personally.

Bluddy hell, what the feck's wrong with the flag of St George? Try putting a swastika there, maybe that's allowed  There's always that sort of thing particularly around big international matches, are they trying to say everyone's breaking the law?

The different colour panel has probably been painted at some point, it's just digital cameras pull different frequencies to our eyes. Used to see that sort of thing under fluorescents - looks fine in daylight but completely different under strip lights.

What?? That's totally fecking rediculous!! Don't get me wrong, I like to see to see the cross of st george as much as the next welshman   , but appreciate and encourage you to display your pride in your nation as I would anyone else (even the french  )and as I do myself. Are they stopping all the other nationalities in your locality from displaying any national parafinalia? I bet you could drive around and see plenty of flags of other nations displayed in shops, houses, vehicles etc...

Just confirms my belief that the only people discriminated against in britain these days are hard working, white, british people!!

Take some photos of yours and other flags then contact the press with this story fella, was going to say local press but fek it go national, a paper like the sun would have a field day with this!

Oh and my next step would be to hang a 10ft flag from my front window

Being from NI I tend to avoid flags as they are generally used for sectarian purposes.

Don't understand the problem in England though, when I lived in Scotland there were plenty of Scottish saltires on numberplates, stickers on bootlids etc. and it was all seen as Scots nationalist patriotism.

Here's one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-406-SILVE ... 27b201ea6a

Unfortunately it has a D8 boot lid attached to it, but the genuine Peugeot spoiler is simply clamped on; just need to unscrew it.

Bonus: it's silver, so you may not need to paint it (if your silver matches it)
