I got it from a scrapped 406 Coupe.

There was a limited edition trim introduce by peugeot for the coupe called "Silver and Black" It featured half leather seats, silver interior door handles and this ash wood effect trim. The crashed coupe was of this limited edition. So I nabbed the trim.
I had already installed the silver handles as can be seen from the topic starter post.

This is something I've been milling over since I got my coupe.
I've always wanted the centre console to match the colour and texture of the dashboard surround which is a mid to dark grey metalic sort of look that is slightly rough to the touch. I finaly spotted a spray paint that was as good as an exact match for the colour and texture of the standard dash surround and inserts.

So I nabbed it and had a go. Here is the result

Nigh on a perfect match me thinks.

Can we see some more pics from the outside - i'm sure the leather really sets off the exterior colour too!!
