I picked some up from the petrol station whilst I filling the car up they were only £15 the kit came with 2 sensors that stick to the bumper only a few wires that just clip onto the reversing light wires and job done and I have got to admit for the money i expected them to be crap but they work spot on.
I stuck the sensor to the corners of the reg plate and the warning speaker screwed into the boot along with a little black box with the gubings in took about 20mins to install.

When I first got my D8 saloon I felt like I might have to get something like this, but you just get used to it. I came from a 309 which I could reverse into the eye of a needle, but this is just a whole different ball game.
Luckly tho, I have an original pug tow bar and a spoiler, so I don't think I need snesors 8) The spoiler is black and sits 'just' in my rear view so I can judge the end when reversing. It's the front I have a little problem with, I must admit, my number plate and the black trims have had a 'touch' or two around car parks, but never into buildings, just other cars.

But on the other hand...... another tick in the spec sheet is good, but I think we all agree our man hood would have a tick removed for not being able to reverse the car without assistance.

Hi,

I'm new to the forum so please excuse the shaky hands

I've fitted a 4 sensor kit to the rear of my 2001 406 Rapier HDi - I'll take a few pics over the weekend and post. I mounted all the sensors on the black rubbing strip / trim wrapping round the rear bumper. I reckoned that if anything went too far wrong the local scrap yard would have a replacement black strip, instead of having to use band aids to try and hide 23mm holes in wrong places.

The first hole is a real nerve wrecker - just remember to measure twice and cut once!!!!!

Had a saloon for a couple of months now and I'm STILL parking over 3 inches from the wall :(
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
