I'm guessing they've given you a diseasel... If you'd have said it's quite small but feels big, you'd hit the description of a Golf TDI on the head. Can't think of much that's the other way around.

Oh Golf TDIs are luuurrrrvveeeellllyyyyy!!!! Accelerating that is, not much else! Reliability is rubbish - loads of moaners about them. But very nippy. Stick it in 6th gear at 80mph, and floor it
i had a golf plus gt tdi 150 as a courtesy car when my bmw convertible got written off, they are bloody amazing, blink and you'll miss 1st and 2nd gear acceleration is outstanding, and they want to rev like a petrol too

Why? lIt's ikely to be a diseasel and the smaller engines only have 5 gears iirc. Almost certain it's a Jetta though, the Passat has its mirror controls somewhere sensible like on the door armrest
