alloys and lowered ???

Hi Peugeot owners , well I'm in a dilema, my V6 Exec has a problem, the front spring has snapped and have been quoted £110 to replace just the one spring,when for £125 ish you can get a complete set of lowering springs and am sure i can get them on cheaper than that. Now if i go down that road and have it lowered by about 20-30 mill , the question is will my 17" alloys still fit under the arch's. as have also got 20mill spacers. I have put one alloy next to my 15" on the car now and they appear to be the same size so to me it looks fine, as the tyres are low profiles. I do not want to mod this car too much , lower it , put alloys on , and maybe a strut brace. I would welcome any advice with regard to the above , thanks
