Changing seat belt pre tensioner plugs?

I've got the leather going in at the mo, and one of the things I noticed is the plug for the seat belt pre tensioners is completely different from the velour I had on there compared to the leather.
The originals have a flatish insert in the plug, whereas the leather has a round one, so can't even just change the case of the plug.

So..waht have people been doing to get round this problem???

I've got one plug come, and hoping the second one is coming, but now it's a case of getting them changed.

Ordinarily, I'd cut the wiring, solder and heatshrink it back up, but my mate who is a mechanic, says it's all down to resistance within the wiring as to how they work, and by doing what I planned, I could bugger it up and prevent or accidentily set them off by doing so.

Was looking at the coupeclub forum and on their they just say change the plug, but the pic on the forum shows different plugs but the inserts look very similar whereas mine look really different - ah well, fingers crossed for nice weather on saturday and I can get the wiring loom from Ade (coupeclub member) wired in and working, so the chaffeur (sp?) is no longer in the cheap seats :cheesy: ( or should I say cheaper as not to offend the owners without leather  )

I had a look myself but couldn't fin anything useful on either clubs.

No, that's ok - I'd kill for leather. Unfortunately there's no way I can get any out here without it costing a fortune :(

Was struggling for advice, so asked on an unrelated forum, and a guy said he changed the interior on a car, and soldered different plugs on, and 250 miles later the airbag light was going crazy and shorlty after the airbags blew, and ended up costly repair as had to replace the seat belt pre tensioners and all the passenger and driver airbags

Looks like i've got to swap the pre tensioners and associated wiring from the velours onto the leather :| :frown: :frown:

Well, the plug that goes into the pre tensioner is the same, so didn't need to change that, and simply took the wiring and plug off the velour seat, and fitted it to the leather.

However, i've still got the airbag light still going away
Tried taking the battery off, for what turned out to be 40 mins whilst removing trim bits to get the wiring in for the seat lectrics, and it's still there - was hoping it would reset itself but no joy.
