Today I set about removing my broken bump strip and replacing it from a one from the scrap yard
Is their a certain way to remove and replace them that dosent break every clip in sight?
I removed 3 from cars breaking in the scrappy and I broke every clip, and then proceeded to break all the clips on mine removing the broken one
Theres now a row of broken clips where my bumpstrip used to be
cheers for any info

You're best of getting more from Pug, this came up recently and they're pennies.

Thats what I tried to do but they just kept breaking with bits of plastic flying everywhere
Theres a Pug dealer 5 mins up the road, il get some more clips
Are they a readily available off the shelf part? or will I have to order and wait

You can push them out from the inside with a long nose pliers to push each side together. I wouldnt bother though its too much hassle. Its part number 8565.34

my stealer had 14 in stock but needed 24, - 7 for each front and 5 each rear door so had to get them to get some in so had 30 instead.
It's like the ones that hold the sill rubber on, I got half a dozen extra of those just in case

Remember, dont put them into the door first. Slide them into the sill guard first.

Recently had cause to change mine and thought I'd add a little note to this post, if your stripping a replacement from a car at the breakers make sure you remove the strip from the hinge side of the door first. I snapped the 'L' clip on the first trim i tried to remove (luckily nobody saw and they had a few D8's in). ease the starlock washer off with a screwdriver, no real choice but to snap the clips then slide the 'L' clip bit out of the door.
