where can i find my build code?

hey guys, i have a 51 reg v6 saloon and wandered where abouts i can find the build number and how to work out the build date as i want to confirm what wiring system i have, cheers.

Should be on the date panel along with the tyre pressure and paint code, on the driver's door post.

any idea what sort of number i am looking for? it is a 51 reg? thanks

You should have a number that looks something like xxxx xx x xxxx and it's the first five numbers that are useful.

Alternatively you may find it painted on the n/s strut mount under the bonnet

How do you identify the code? IS A 4 LETTERS or numbers etc.....

Mine is a 6 figure number painted in yellow on the passenger side strut top
