Hi
I'd check the rubber door seals; make sure there's no damage or signs of perished rubber.
If in doubt, get them replaced - they shouldn't be too costly
Kind regards
Graeme

If you remove the door card there should be a kinda membrane or plastic sheet liner thing and frequently past owners can damage this liner (whilst changing a locking solenoid or speaker etc) without realising what it's for (catching and draining any stray water from the window correctly) - this would be my first port of call but you are likely to need a set of 'torx' screw driver heads for some of the fixings on the door card.

My D8 used to have a leaky door, it turned out to be a shredded water shedder as Welly said. It appears that I wasn't the first owner to experience a dodgy lock on that door

Further investigation identified that Mr scissorhands had had a go at all my doors!

i just removed the rear door card and all i have behind is a polystyrene foam cover, no plastic sheeting, i couldnt see any signs of dampness tho. the seals have a few tears in but then the seals have holes in them anyway so it cant be the tears? dunno what it is
