Does anyone know how to get rid of the ugly black side strips on the side of the car? I don't just want to pull them off because I know this will look messy and I haven't got endless amounts of money to have them removed smoothed over and re-sprayed
Does anyone reckon that it would be possible to spray these bits with a matching tin of spray paint for the car from Halfords or somewhere? or would this look cheap and D.I.Y ish
And does anyone happen to know where I can buy the P&A Tuning phoenix bodykit for the D8 406 from in the UK??
Loving the site guys soo many tips and tricks on here keep up the good work
cheers
Tux

If you mean the black tape on the windows you can just use a hair dryer to loosen it and pull it off. It's painted underneath.
If your talking about the bumpers I would be carefull removing them. The holders like to break off like the mittle of mine.

Why only the front and back btw?
Mostly depends on how well you can spray paint and how weatherd and beat up they are. You could lightly sand them, use a good primer then spray gun them yourself. Since it's not such a large area it should be somewhat easier to paint without any noticable difference.
Shouldn't cost more than 80 Euro to have them done though. I remember asking a few places about a year ago when I wanted to have them done all arround the car.
Most of them suggested to buy them and the clamps new then paint them. I didn't do it because Peugeot wanted like 100 Euro for them and the chrom lined ones are much more. Mine have severe weathering and the sides are already popping off again.
Whichever way you go don't forget to post us some nice pics!

You'll still need to sort the side strips, even if you replace the front and rear bumpers with a body kit. Just spray them; it's a simple, inexpensive thing, and it will totally transform the look of your car -- trust me on this, it's one of the best body mods you can do.

If the Halford colour doesnt match, you can always go to your local paint specialist, they can get a colour match for you, costs about ?10 for a spray tin.

More importantly your local paint supplier will be able to add flexability to the paint as it is going to go on plastic/rubber.
Normal primer will crack after a while.
