Hi having some trouble removing some plastic bits.

Need some help to remove splash guard so I can access my cabin filter. Read post at viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3870 but it missing this vital info and I don't want to force it.

Also how is the air inlet plastic above the throttle body removed?

Thanks

Hi there, welcome :cheesy:

Umm, which vital bits? Unclip at the front (carefully or they'll break), and pull out starting from the side nearest you. It's harder to put it back 'cos you have to put it under the other half in the middle and line the clips up at the back.

Throttle body? Do we get any clues? (Engine? Year?)

Thanks for the reply - the splash guard seems a bit tricky to lever off the lugs at the front (obviously designed to break when touched). When you say 'start on the side nearest to you', do you mean passengers side?

Sorry should have said I have a 2.0 16v inj. The bit I am referring to is the plastic that sits over the trottle inlet and connects to the airbox at the side.

thanks

I meant as you're standing at the side of the car working on the cov.. splash guard, it's hooked under the other half so it seems the best way is to pull it out the outside end first.

Can't be bothered to look it up in Haynes (just about to go shopping for electrics) but either someone who has the same engine will tell you or I'll see if it says on my return :cheesy:
