Mines got folding mirrors, and that's a T plate exec
Use them every single day too

Dairees has them on his exectutive, and I've got them on my SE coupe. I think they were standard fit on exec and SE trims.
I reckon that's the only time you'll find them. They operate by turning the mirrors knob 180 degrees (toward the back of the car).
I absolutely love 'em!!

I don't think many 'Dealers' realise they are folding, as neildavies said, you gave to turn the knob all the way round (feels like you are snapping it off!).

Before everyone goes out and snaps their knob off (don't), at the rear of the knob will be a small white dot, at the 6 o'clock position. If you haven't got a white dot, don't bother trying. Also, for the last of the 406's, at least the coupes, they put the same knob in all of the cars, but some didn't have the mirrors, I think it was to save making 2 different types of knobs. (e.g. the black/silver edition of the coupe)

Yup, standard equipment on the executive. They come in rather handy for me, as parking in my street is tight, and they could save someone knocking them off!

I have them on my 2003 SE. Think standard on SE and Exec, for the last D9s anyway. Not sure about other years.
Oh yeah, just don't have one knocked off! My wallet is still bleeding!

i looked into wiring this into a d8, it would be possible but would need some really clever rewiring as you would have to create the signal's the BSi would send to the mirrors

Have you got any information on what kind of signal(s) are needed?

Surely you could just frig them up on their own supply and a spare switch on the dash?
