Removing wiper arms...
Thought i'd give it a test run, before I'm going to paint them later in the week (as it's about to piss down)...
But how do you physically remove the wiper arms - I got the main bolt off and hit it with some WD40 to "loosen" it up to no avail...I don't want to break the windscreen like another 406oc'er did a while back!
Cheers,
Joel

I remember it took a lot of wd40 and tapping with a hammer plus a bit of brute strength
to get mine off ,I believe there is a tool for the purpose.

Something like a balljoint splitter should do it, either that or one of those crows foot tap spanners.

Re: Removing wiper arms...
Didn't Jasper say to loosen the nut then press down on the hinge bit of the arm?
Re: Removing wiper arms...

Re: Removing wiper arms...
Is it a similar idea to the way the steering wheel is fitted? They're a pain too, but only really the first time. Once you've heaved & squeezed the original one off, you find that the replacement slides out with relative ease the next time you do it.

Mine come off easy.Take the nut off, activate the wipers and the spindle works its way loose and I can just wiggle the wiper arms off.

Re: Removing wiper arms...
FFS - they are stuck hard! Took ages to get them off - then I managed to do a typical DIY stuff up by putting the wiper arms the wrong side!
Managed to strip the teeth off the spindles (nice work...) but they seem to work fine if you tension up the bolt nice and tight!

ive got the primer, and new black paint for mine and put conventional bosch wipers on them so they will look good when removed.
