WaterLeak Found With Pics

Post by Gary406 »

i found a water leak from the body work into the boot. may be worth checking yours
on the 1st pic you can see the white bit right at the side of the boot seal , this is the old flexi seal thats gone hard and bristle and is now letting water past
the 2nd and 3rd pictures are arrowed , these arrows point to a metal flap inside the boot, it must be were the boot meets the rear quater
water is getting in there and running around the flap (arrowed) and into the boot

this isnt leaking from the boot seal mate,

its leaking through the body seal that kind of welds the 2 metal sections together,

it must be the point were the cross section meets the quater ..

when you replace seal did you remove the boot lid to do it in 1 peice ?
