Bird poo!!

Hi all

as mentioned in my other post I've not long had my 406 - long story short I have never known a car like it in all my years for attracting bird poo. Every day it gets deposits, has anyone else had the same problem?!

D9 406 Saloon, Moroccan red I think - I clayed it the other week so it looked stunning and thing this might have started it off! (it looks like a mirror, or it did until it started getting speckled).

Also - doesn't matter where it's parked.

dissolved it can be a pain that. BUT make sure you wipe it off ASAP. if you dont it leaves the paint work stained.

Did you tell her wood pigeon is edible?

Worse than that it eats into the paintwork. My dad had a problem with a crow a while back, it was where they locals park their cars when they take dogs for a walk. Not only did it crap all over the cars it also ripped off windscreen wipers. One of the other guys he knows there shot it. I think I'd do the same, unless it's endangered species, in which case I'd wear a disguise and still shoot it.

Bad luck? Not heard of that before. Perhaps if it falls on your head...

And if you think that's bad, these turned up last spring:

Feck off - we don't want any!!!

Fortunately they buggered off but they're protected to the hilt, so if they decide to nest on your chimney there's nothing you can do about it.

Used to own a Fiesta, at the end of our drive was a small tree and a Robin used to sit in the tree and stare at the car. Then it would fly down and attack the Robin that lived in the wing mirrors and used to stare back at him. He really went for it  . After a week or so of wiping down both doors several times a day I wrapped tea towels around the mirrors everytime I parked on the drive.
Serves me write for owning a Ford I suppose.

best way to get rid of birds is to get some putty
the type used on the old type window frames ,

mix the putty up with some brown bread make into little balls ibet after a day or 2 the bird wont come back,
itl be either constipated or its stomache will ave exploded

works well on the big herons that pinch gold fish :P

You would need to have a very good aim to get a bird with an air rifle, you need a shotgun.

Ive been hit a few times by bird poo, while walking outside.

If you think bird poo's bad for your paintwork you can imagine what buck shot would do for it

Air rifle = patience. Shotgun = coppers, court and jug.

No cops if you have a licence and permission to shoot on your own land.
I dont own a shotgun though, and the last time i used on ended up with a very sore shoulder.
The air rifle i bought last year has been nothing but unreliability. Its pneumatic, so its always low on air, or it has some problem with a seal.
