So i've had the door off of my d8 execuitive.

In a nutshell- I can't line it up to get it back into place and tighten the bolts- the door isn't flush.
How do you align it with the door wide open :S?

Hi mate,

ithink you will need a hand with this,
get someone to take the weight of the door, have the window down for them to hold the top of the Door,
loosen the bolts alittle, look at the markings where the bolts have been before and it will be a case of just getting them roughly online with them,
if they wont line up that way next best option is Remove the wing,
mask up the corner of the wing to prevent scraping paint off it tho is you take wing off,

I tried doing this myself with a jack in the wind- there is scratches and chips :(

so there's no real method? just trial and error and grunting whilst trying to hold the stubborn door up yea?

Got it done- just the 2 of us! was just a case of doing them up tight enough that when you shut the door/lined it up- the bolts would slide up slightly in the hinge into place and stick- then just carefully open the bugger and tighten them properly :D
