When i park my 2002 hdi Rapier estate at home it has to be nose down on my drive which is on a bit of an incline,when it rains it seems the o/s sill fills with water,you can here a sloshing sound when you brake and accelerate from the sill area.Should there be drain holes in the sill? and how does it get in there in the first place? It seems to be only the o/s that is affected.

it sloshed about in my passenger side sill, im not sure how it gets in i thin its the sill seal should have a seal behind it, but to get it out, you go to the jacking points and there should be a hole, probably filled with gunk or the metal has been bent by a jack, take a flathead screwdriver and hammer it into the gap, then the water should pour out. After it pours out id advise taking the wheel arch liner off the front wheel and filling the sill with waxoyl.

are you getting the water going into the sill?
i dont think the water enters the sill from inside just in behind the sill seal.

The sill fills up when it's standing on the drive in the rain,i can't for the life of me figure out how it gets in there.

i had it at the time my doorcard seal sheets were leaking i believe it went down there, onto the top of the sills, down between the sill seal, and in through the holes for the seal clips, but i assume some water is expected to go in there if peugeot has provided drain holes in the jacking points. You can also clog them if you drive the car over a kerb or bump and bend them shut.

The water enters via the sill seals which let in through the clips when broken.

i think then the seal should be sealed up if replaced

Thanks to this thread was able to fix this very problem. Took me a while to figure out where to unblock as the small tang directly behind the jacking point was bent over. I gather it's not supposed to be which baffled me. started to bend it straight with a claw hammer and PWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Err, I suspect that isn't the drain, it's more towards the arch and is probably why it's damp there. You'll need to spray something in there once it's dried.
