Drivers door 1999 406hdi Saloon

Hi, really strange question but do you know if the rear drivers lock (not barrel) will fit my driver’s door? I've been comparing it against others and they seem identical?

I will investigate but the door unlocks on passenger side and another symptom is the door handle doesn’t open the door ?? Maybe something’s come loose, I just don’t know, anyone else had this?
