So apparently 406's get a 12 year corrosion warranty? Does that mean that the mild rust bubbles on my bonnet lip can be repaired for free under Peugeot's warranty?

It's probably one of those policies with diminishing value so you've only got £13.60 in the 'Bank' so to speak

Or it needed to be annually inspected by a main agent, they'll have some way of backing out of it, just you watch

Soooo, who's doing the asking?

There are usually 2 standard get out clauses. The first is that they'll only fix if it has actually penetrated the metal. Ford required a picture of the bodyshop man holding something through the hole when I tried to get a bit of bubbling sorted on my (at the time) 5 year old mk2 Mondeo.

The other is as already stated, that the car needed to be serviced by the main dealer & have a bodywork inspection carried out at the required intervals.
