Sourced the 'New' D9 chrome grille trim

I have managed to track down the bit of chrome trim which goes under the front grille as seen on the last few 406's off the production line,
Like this one: Mmm, nice wheels...
Anyway, they cost £30.00 inc VAT from the dealers, and there
could be a couple of clips required (could not get the numpty in parts to understand).
I have not removed my grille yet to see if the fixing holes are there, but this is the exploded view showing where the trim fits:
If you look at your bumper, there is a nice recess where the trim will fit.
Notice, if you will, how I cunningly ''scanned'' the picture (a fax) into my PC, cos I'm dead clever, and then brought you the 'picter' in all it's un-fudged glory
thank god for digi cameras.

I like the wheels, they are 16'' on the later D9's, so Turn-in and cornering will be better
I think they look more upto date than my 'flower pot' wheels. In fact when I'm rich and famous I shall be on the look out for some [s]stolen[/s] genuine 16'' ones myself from [s]stolen goodsbay[/s], ebay

Just rang the dealer and they state that they havn't got a clue about it. They cannot find it on the system.
I cleverly gave them the web address of this topic, and they looked at it and said that it is 'an aftermarket part'!!!!!

I sort of agree about the wheels, at least that they look horrible on that car. Never seen them on the saloon before, but they're on the late coupes......mine in fact.
So my verdict is they look suited to the coupe, your welcome to disagree though:

actually they do look a lot better on the coupe, i dont know if its just me but i think the coupe would look better with the plastic moulding extended to the front wing like the saloon

Right that's it! I've had a guts full......
Every time I open this thread I feel an almost overwhelming desire to bling my ride
Problem is I can see this getting expensive, if I get a shiny bit of chrome for the front I've then got to get new chrome inserts for a couple of sections of the bumpers (mine have gone a bit white and bubbly

), then what's next? Number Plate surrounds?
Welton you barsteward!

Right then Dai, maybe this weekend we'll have a go at my noisy coupe and think about pimping your ride!

OK, let's then!
We might have to do a bit of investigative EGR surgery too, have you seen the other thread?
My Antipolution fault" thread is nearly as long as yours now!!!

Fingers crossed this time next week, we'll have our former glories back!!
I know what you mean James about the trim, but in the flsh, the indicator fills the gap nicely.

I'm definately getting the chrome trim, I got a price for it, and a likkle drawing so I having it.
Dai, you don't have to bling the rest of your 'ride' up, Peugeot didn't it's just a nice addition and 'in keeping' with the other blingy bits.
Personally, I LOVE those 16'' wheels, and shall be having some of them (in good time).

Well when my wallet has recovered from the shock of having to fix this EGR fault, I'll see if our local dealer can source the bling. If they're as unhelpful as Pris' dealer (which I suspect they will be!

), I might be calling on your services for supply of the aforementioned bling item Mr Welton
