Well peeps i'm in a quandry - do i or don't i go ahead and pop this on ?

Mi16 spoiler



As there is a hefty lump of blu tack covering the bolt threads , it would sit about 20mm lower than it looks.

So what do i do ??????????

I like spoilers onthe saloon, but something a bit more subtle would be my cup of tea. I don't think the MI16 spoiler suits the 406.

The spoiler looks like its the wrong way round, I like small spoilers on the 406 so do it.

You do know, its only for show right?
There is no real advantage gained by adding a spoiler. If anything you end up with a boot lid too heavy for its hinges.

I say get yourself the little subtle lip spoiler available on ebay:

yep i once put a spoiler on a mk4 cortina and regretted it cos everytime i opened the bootlid and leant in it twatted me on the top of the bonce

If you're really set on getting a spoiler, get a small one like the ones on the Renault Laguna Mk.1 'RT Sport' trim - they're not bad looking and suit the 406 much better. There's a couple on the forums who have saloons with small spoilers, and I reckon they look quite smart!

@ Geordieboy - it's the right way on but tilting back because of the blu tack - would sit level when fitted.

@ Blue406 - yeh i know they don't do squat , mainly just for aesthetics purposes more than performance/handling.

Ok so far a bit of a mixed bag so please keep your opinions coming as once it's drilled then there's no going back without some hefty moolah on a new lid

My opinion on spoilers is I love them! However they must be right for the car, and usually ar best when small or subtle.

You can never beet the look of a factory fitted spoiler! I will be fitting a spoiler onto mine in the not so distant future, but I will be fitting the standard Peugeot OEM spoiler (as fitted to some 406 V6's).

I don't think that particular spoiler suits the 406, os go and get an OEM one!

Wes....dont do it,checkout "johnd"s 406,i'm going same route,totally suits it,this on of your's is totally oot,and as for that rear wiper....omg!

I have one of those in the shed if anyone wants it... its primed so just needs flatting and spraying, comes with a fitting kit

Well i'm 99% sure i will fit it - just 'cause i'm a bit bored with the current look but as i'm up to my neck in DIY every minute of the day and evening when i'm not at work , it has kinda taken a back seat so to speak, but should defo be on for the summer
