window regulators estate

Discuss the 406's Bodywork stuff in here (what parts fit what, what can be interchanged with what etc etc).

window regulators estate

Post by dadooo »

Goood day. Have a 97 estate ,manual rear window regulators. bought a 406 sedan with a blown motor to get the wheels and some other bits .
Do the regulators from a sedan fit the estate?there is a part number on the regulator 9615037580.
Just googled it and it looks like the scrapers here in Sweden show it fitting both ? http://www.bildelsbasen.se/?link=list&s ... 9615037580
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi,

It looks like the same part numbers for both saloon and estate, but left and right doors are different:

9223 36 Left
9224 37 Right

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

They are the same, just the glass is a different shape. One problem might be if this is an electric regulator as there's a change which is dated 3rd June 1997 (RPO 07511), so if your car and the donor car are either side of this date it might not work. No, I don't know what they changed... :(
