Passenger door mirror replacement.

My passenger door mirror has stopped heating up when the heated rear window is on, but the drivers side is still working.

Now assuming that the heating side of the mirror has died, are they easy to get out of the case (Like the Renault Scenic) or is it a case of a complete replacement mirror head?

Its not too bad to take one out.

If you look under the glass, in the middle you should ( just ) see 2 tiny 'prongs' pointing down, if you can prise these apart with needlenose pliers or a screwdriver the glass should come away from its frame. The 2 prongs are the bottom parts of a big sort of hexagonal spring clip.

You will need to unclip and remove the coloured mirror backing ( from inside the mirror ) when you have done this, so you can access the spring clip to re-secure the glass via the top of the mirror, then clip the coloured backing on afterwards.
