I made a mistake with bonnet purchace

Got a bonnet change job to do but made a mistake. Did a 250 mile round trip today to buy a bonnet not till I got home I realised it is a MK1 and the car is a MK2 the main difference is the twin bonnet catches I have found some on ebay want I want to know is can they be swapped. And are there any other differences. Regards Iain

Grille, headlamps, slam panel, front bumper... It's do-able but you're better off selling it.

Sorry missed a bit can I just swap the twin lock MK1 front panel onto the MK2

What is the problem do the lights fit differently I measured the bonnet length against my own D9 the only real difference is the front has a slightly different radius ?

The lights are wider and a different shape, the grille is narrower and shorter. It can be done but you'll need D8 lights, a D8 grille and a D8 bumper, as well as the slam panel.

yes,you would need replacing the whole front end.
Just swap the bonnet if you can mate.
