are you using the wipers when the screen is dry? this is usaully what causes wiper judder, do you aero wipers on your 407, if not then try changing the wiper blades, you may also have bent wiper arms which are applying too much pressure to the screen

dont use them on dry screen other than when they on auto, yes i have them aero-wipers, too much pressure not an option

Four things I can think of:

a foreign substance on the blades and/or screen causing it to stick (Try washing the screen and blades with fairy liquid and a bit of water! BRILLIANT grease remover!)
a stiff wiper arm that doesn't want to move freely (like on mine :( )
a non-OEM blade that's too high could cause the wiper arm to exert too much pressure
worn blades

I would try cleaning the screen with something like AutoGlym glass cleaner (the cream one) and then clean the rubber wipers with meths or something.
