For some reason my boot wont open, I can feel the click when I use the key buton and I have tried to open the lid with the key manually. so with some difficulty I dropped the back seats ( through the ski flap) but there is nothing obvious that would jam the mechanism.
Any ideas as to what I do next?

Re: Boot will not open
My 406 coupe suffered the same, the lock was completely stuck. Turned out that the locking actuator (motor) of the lock had jammed.
What i did: climb into the boot through the dropped back seats, armed with a torch and screwdriver. Uncovered the lining by popping off the plugs that hold the lining in place (usually one or two of these plugs will break
) Then i was able to operate the rods to the lock in order to open the boot lid. With the boot lid open i could remove and replace the lock motor .
