Do you know the alloys wheels that are standard fit on the 206 gti, I think they are called 'nimrod' and they are 16".

I fancy a set of them for my 6.

But im sure ive read somewhere that 206 wheels wont fit the 406, is this right? Yet i still see 406's kicking about with them wheels on but smaller maybe 15".

Im i going mad or is all the above correct :?

those wheels are nimrods, and are a straight swap onto the 406, i the very late '53 to '54 plate 406 's' and 'se' has these wheels

Theres a 53 plate Samarkand blue 406 S thats always parked at my work. Looks VERY nice.

I'd have a set of those for my 6 anyday.

As I've always said, the 406' lines suite multispoked wheels, the more you have, the sleeker and sophisticated it looks.

So the conclusion is that the 16" will fit and will look the dash hounds danglies :cheesy:

Damn it. They aint gonner fit.

Found this info on an old thread

205, 306, 309, 405 and 406 =15-22mm offset 65mm center bore
206 and 307 =25mm offset 65mm center bore
Offset to the inside so +

I tried a 206 steel rim on my 406, as I was looking for another spare rim and it definitely sat too far in and fouled the rear suspension.

You could always spacer them? Never used them so I don't know what they are like.

If you get hubcentric wheel spacers you shouldn't have any problems.

Try to avoid completly flat spacers as all the loads will be on the longer bolts not the hub

I have non-hubcentric spacers but they have a hub lip...not the best but i've had no problems with them

I'd say avoid spacers PERIOD!
