Discuss the 406's Bodywork stuff in here (what parts fit what, what can be interchanged with what etc etc).

Door Lock Barrel

Post by cwhaley »

Hi all,

Don’t think this forum is used much anymore – the FB page seems to be the preferred site.

Does anybody know if the door locking barrel on the 406 is the same as on other Peugeot/Citroen models?

I’ve been trying for the better part of a year now to get two new barrels. I cannot lock my car and I’m always worried about it being opened up while I’m away.

Hello. Yes, it's become a bit quiet. There is still a lot of traffic
In total there are 112 users online :: 4 registered, 0 hidden and 108 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Either that's a lot of random bots or people are still finding the information here useful.

I'm looking on SSG Asia https://catalogs.ssg.asia/peugeot the door lock part number only brings up 406 and 406 restyling. I presume this means they're not used on any other Pugs. Trying it in citroen only brings up an error :? Lord how I miss Service Box...

Ok, 406 only, but I'd hazard a guess this doesn't mean PSA only made these locks for the 406, it could just mean the control rods, levers, whatever are different for other applications and the actually body of the lock, including your missing bit, could well be used elsewhere. A day at the breaker's perhaps? I'd take a borescope with me.
