Hello all, I am new here, and this is my first post!

I am currently on my 3rd 406, this one being a D8 1.9td GLX, which i work as a taxi. Currently on 190,000 miles and still going strong, apart from the usual!

With regards to the self-denting doors, which pinch a bolthead (i think) if the door suddenly opens further than it should, well recently on a windy day, I got it both sides  . Did peugeot ever rectify this fault? The damage is done now though, so no point in asking if owners have done anything to prevent this?!

Do the rear lights and boot from the d9 fit the d8 without major problems, or are the rear quaters different? I rather like the smooth look!

Love this forum, loads of good advice and banter, wish I had found it yonks ago!

Hello and welcome 8) Well I hope pug sorted that out on the D9's. Since I've had mine its been ok. I have also got a D8 and the drivers door has been dented for quite a while. When the door is closed it looks like someone has put a srewdriver in and tried to prise it. Very annoying.

I think that pug have made it difficult on purpose to change the rear lights and boot as I have never seen a D8 with a D9 boot. I'm sure they are different dimensions.

It is an unsightly mess!

You are probably right, I can't see peugeot making it easy to upgrade. Shame though!

Thanks for your reply 8)
