Key Scratch

Left work today to notice that some friend of humanity has left a nice long (about 18 inch) key or coin scratch down my drivers door. (also knocked the wing mirror in for good measure).

What's the best way (if any) to repair the scratch other than forking out loads in a body shop?
It's gone through to white paint (Car's Green). Its about 4mm wide by about 18 inches long, not dead straight.

Thanks

HI,

i would go for a body shop and while they have mixed the paint for your car, get them to do any other scratch as the only other options are:

Get a touch up stick from Peugeot - but it would most likely make a mess or

Get a coin or key and scratch off the rest of the paint until you have a white car :cheesy:

Y'know, that would probably be the best option for my car ;)

Spare some change mister?

That's more likely to be a child on a bicycle than vandalism :|

These smart repair places reckon they can do scratches using a fine air brush thingy but I cannot vouch for the quality. Otherwise you will be into a newly painted door (which probably won't match exactly the rest of the car :frown: )

Just checked it, it starts half way on the wing (lightly) stops where it hit the wing mirror then goes deep along the door and finishes on the rear door with a small dent.
Nice. :frown:

Brother is into car valeting so hope he can get half of it out.
