How hard is it to change a headlight on a D9?
Since the my motor has come back from the bodyshop it has one spangly new lamp which shows up the other gammy yellow one on the other side
So if its a piece of piss im may get a new one so i'll have a matching pair

If they're attached on the D9 as they are on the D8... they're an absolute bitch.
Theres a retaining bolt on the side which is very difficult to get to. I think you have to disassemble the wheel arch innards to get to it.

You can do it Tooty come on man!!!
All the Jap cars I've had required the removal of the bumper to change the headlight. A bit of faffing around in the arch liner is not that bad.
Anyway how come your old one's gone yellow? my headlights are still ubber shiney inside (apart from the weird electrical spikey, patterny, static patterns)

Toot according to my haynes comic it quite easy on a D9, remove the
grill then there are 2 bolts on the top of each headlight and a third on the
inside of the wing move the battery cover to expose one and the washer bottle
cap to expose the other pull unit forward and unclip wires

When a bulb blew (55W jobbie - ran the Dim/Dipped mode) in the headlight, I spend about 10 mins working how to take it out and replace.
Didn't take the unit out/off of the car

sounds like the Volvo S40 T4, its basically a mitsubishi carisma, apparently it shares 25% of the parts, anyway, to remove the headlight it involves, removing the front bumper, the front undertray(s), the foglights, headlamp washers, and your supposed to remover the intercooler, radiator and condenser too but i know a way round
bloody jap crap
