Has it jumped out of the track? You'll probably have to take the inside panel off to have a squint.

hmm, sounds like you have knocked the runners out of line. take the door card off and have a look. run the window up and down and see where it fouls. should be as simple as relocating it. This is assuming that the force of execcive slamming has dislodged somthing. then you need to fit a lights on buzzer. if you already have one, you need to listen to it.!! next time slam your fist into somthing hard and solid, and unbrakeable. Good look. let us know how you get on.

yeah wll have to take the door trim off and have a look are they a bastard to get off? i have a lights on alarm but i ignored it as id left the keys in the ignition and that gives the same buzzer but i wouldnt have thought it would flatten the battery on sidelights for an hour or so

no it should really get the battery flat. saying that. mine has a power saving cut off. if i leave the ignition on for too long, the car shuts down all none essential stuff, like radio and dvd player ect. get your battery tested. most motor factors and garages will do it for free.

Easy peasy. Take off speaker grill & remove speaker, couple of screws to remove in handle (you have to pop cover off to reveal screw) and if memory serves another screw on the bottom (pop off cover again).
The door card is held on with push clips, work your way around slowly pulling to release them. Watch out you don't snag the wires for the switches!

You checked the switches? Sometimes they pop out?

You have to take the door mirror back cover off, it's held on with little clips and it's quite fiddly. Carefully ease off the surround for the door release, I think you might need to push it slightly either backwards or forwards (can't remember which, it's a while since I had my D8's off but I've done it on loads of other cars). I always miss something so don't give it brute force and ignorance To get the clips undone you're meant to use a trim tool but it's enough just to get your fingers behind the trim and give it a wee tug, start at the bottom. They often break, special tool or not, but they're actually quite cheap and Pug has probably got tonnes of the things. Disconnect the switches, the don't fit through the hole.

I forgot that bit! The surround for the door release just pops off.
