1998 seat swap

Post by locoboy »

Another seat thread!

Is it just me that thinks the standard peugeot cloth seats are pants?

My120K miles R reg 2.1 estate seems to have a really un supportive drivers seat, the passengers one is not 'too' bad but its still not great when compared to other car seats.

is there an alternative seat i can fit from another model that will bolt straight in?

Im not bothered about it matching as i have covers on them all the time and i can put the original back in when i come to sell it.

Last resort would the passengers seat fit in the drivers position?

Thanks

I guess so. Maybe your seats have collapsed? I think the seatbelt pretensioner is part of the seat so maybe you won't be able to swap them, you could always try of course.

Get yourself some seats from a 406 exec. They appear on ebay from time to time; the lumbar adjustment on the drivers seat is bliss :cheesy:

I'd never had lumbar support before this car, I really didn't know what I was missing!

D8? I've bought 3 D8 execs and they've all had adjustable lumbar support, even my '98 with the new-style deckchair seats

My previous Pug was a 309 GLD, K reg.
That had an adjustable lumbar support.

I was rather surprised and disappointed that my D9 406 which I got recently didn't have it.
I'm also wondering about how to upgrade my seats.

I bought an x-police car (100.000miles), so I rather think my seats have collapsed under the extra weight of all the gear they carry
