406 v6 - which alloy wheels fit and what is fitment?

Post by ivor406 »

Hi,

New to this site and hoping for a definitive answer as despite searching loads of post haven't found a clear answer:

- Does anyone know exactly what wheels will fit the 406 v6 saloon (2002 reg) - I've even looked on loads of other whell fitment sites and all the entries for peugeot 406 always state 406(not v6) ??????? aghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

so come on and please help a naive newbie - I'm looking to put some nice multispokes on to my v6? :?:

Any real help greatly appreciated guys ?? :?

Being 4-stud the V6 wheels should be no different to a 1.8 petrol, a HDi, etc. etc. :?

Only the coupe has special wheels with extra caliper clearance (for the brembos).

the 406 is a 4x108 stud pattern the same as a ford but the offset is very very different so ford wheels wont fit without a huge spacer
on saying that pretty much anything is available for the car
17 inch wheels go on no probs
18 inch will prob need arch mods
19 will fit if you dont mind a ruined ride and no arches

Ford fitment wheels will go on with 20mm spacers.... hard on the car though!

Would 18 inch wheels not go on a 406 with low profile tyres without a problem? Seems to be that with my 17" wheels there is lots of clearance and its on the deck too lol... Was thinking of 18" Dare v4 wheels.... Whats the opinion on them????

Question...

Do people know if the 307 XSI wheels or the 307CC Sport wheels (Look the same as the GTI180) but they have a different offset will fit on the 406?

'sallright, found pics elsewhere. Don't the brakes look tiny?! Maybe you could get some brake dust shields so it doesn't look like you've fitted the brakes off a scooter :cheesy:
