Damn Boot wont lock !!!!

Hi,
I have a P reg 406 2.0 Turbo (does that really matter? not sure!!) , now the key fob locks all doors great......but not the boot..oh nooooo!! I have tried the 'quarter turn' on the boot lock as instructed by the 406 manual..but no joy!! any ideas people???

There was a recall for this if memory serves
(see Honest John); it happenned to me but luckily turning the lock on the boot lid did the trick!

When you say 'turned the lock' do you mean you did what i described??

The solenoid might be buggered.
Its an easy fix. HEad to a scrappies, get a solenoid, check that it moves (you can pull and push it with your hands) and fit it. Sorted. 30 mins, inc trip to scrappies and £10.

Yes I do; solenoid sounds like a good idea as Blue said!
