Hi can anyone help please? My car has never had this problem before. Car is unlocked but the rear door is not. Have tried manually opening from inside and locking and unlocking but still no joy. Help please?
There was a very similar post on here a week or two back, but I don't think it reached a resolution. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5961#p58311
One thought. If I remember correctly, locking via the remote puts the deadlocks on & pressing it again releases the deadlocks, but leaves it locked. See if you can open it manually in the 'ub-deadlocked' condition.

Have spent the best part of yesterday afternoon giving the Pug a dam good clean. And that problems back again . I Squirtrd loads of wd40 via the handle inside and out with window down working the lock and trying the handles. Eventually it decided to open cheesy: problem fixed.
Well so I thought. Just been out in the car this morning and rear door wont open again Im guessing I need to strip the door card off and give it a dam good greasing inside. When I can open the door that is
Its one part of the pug I have never had to deal with I imagine its very simple to remove torx heads and clips holding it in place. And the usual plastic shield inside.
My D8 used to do that, sometimes when you deadlocked it one of the back doors would refuse to unlock. I used to lock/unlock/lock/unlock etc using the remote until it released Eventually I just stopped deadlocking it

hi my d9 did the very same thing for 6 months it would not open - then one day it opened so i removed the doorcard, and ceaned the area with clutch & carb cleaner then gave it a good dosing of wd40, touch wood all is ok.- Speaking to an ex pug mechanic the cause of this problem is the deadlocking motor , it can cease up, just have to keep tapping the white motor and using the fob ( two people needed) it should free then wd40 it to hell . Every time i unlock my car i open the rear drivers door now as a habit also I dont deadlock it. SIMPLES .
