I'm trying to replace the external temp sensor in my passenger door mirror, but i cant get the mirror glass out.....Anyone know how to do this job with breaking too much please ???
Ive got the door mirror off the car but I am struggling with getting the thing apart, already broke the bottom clips in the colour coded panel getting that off...but I cant see how to get further at the moment...!!!

Any help appreciated

The cover should be removed after the glass which is why it broke.
Tilt the glass fully upwards & release the spring clip legs on the bottom of the glass, I use a bent piece of welding rod.

Thanks for that bit of advice......It worked.....I just got it out doing as you say....just got the motor out to enable removal of the sensor...decided to cut the 2 wires to the sensor and shorten the new sensor's wires and soldered them together...much easier than trying to route the new ones.........Ive put the assembly together and refitted it to the door .....proof in the pudding etc......and yesssss the new sensor reading is normal for here ...about 7c ...instead of the previous crazy reading of 50c....hehehe.

Cheers again
