I fitted 40mm springs all round at the weekend the front sits close to the ground and the wheels sit in the arch very nicely..

The rear however still seems high to me you can see a little bit of difference but she still sits high has anybody else come across this?

If so is there anyway to make it lower or i just need more of a drop on the back?

Cheers guys :)

yea I think its ust cos theres less weight at the back of the 4 0, aand they sit very high at the back in th 1st place. There is one way of getting it lower, and thats to take the springs out all together, but thats highly unrecommened for obvious reasons. Did it on my car just to test it out as ive heard of ones doin it to cavs, but very bouncy and the standard shocks knock constantly. Here a few pics for inspiration.... lol

woops ment to post a link to the whole thread... viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6732

Just realised youve already posted on it anyways. In them last pics the springs are out completely. Its a very sickly drive, when you hit the slightest of bumps it goes up and down about 5 or 6 times after it lol. Theres a constant knocking from the dampers/shocks too and it wouldnt be long before theyed break.

It wasnt realy a crash just a bump on the passenger side front. Was also a benifit in away as i got the finger out and replaced the rusty wings since i had the bumper off. :D Maybe your thinking about jimmartins white 406? :? Did you get a debadged grille? ive a how to up about it now if your still looking to do it.

Just out of curiosity what lowering springs did you have on the front she looks low?

Thats mental taking the whole spring out i dont think i could handle the bouncing!! I got a 40mm drop all round and it looks bit mean as the back ends high still!! But i was hoping it would be lower as it was!!

Im going to attempt to do the grill now i see your how to!!

Your a ledge mate!! 8)

The camber on the rear looks a tad dodgy - It would scrub through tyres in a fairly short period of time!

There is a craze in Sydney at the moment where people are doing it to Barinas (Corsas) and Diahatsu Charades - Love it when they hit a pothole, they bounce all over the place! That said, it's pretty darn dangerous as a) its not structurally safe and b) it will wreck the dynamics of the car!
