(Except the LX poverty spec )
believe it or not all I did before i took them pics is wipe the rain off from the night before with a chamois, it's a pretty tidy motor in all fairness just a shame it's gotta go, I don't have the funds to keep it on the road any more as I'm not clocking up many miles, also got a 2.5 pontiac fiero on the drive that's gotta go tooGary406 wrote:Diablo Red . same as mine.
mine looks that shiney when its had a good autoglym super resin polish in the summer months.

Re: Pic of your Peugeot.
Don't see the resemblance, myself:
My old saloon also has an official 406 spoiler on, same as Plod's does. I think it adds a certain flair to the rear of the car. I actually think it looks like it should have been there in the first place.
Not too keen on the official spoiler on the 406 Coupe though; I will be leaving my Coupe spoiler-free.

well that one being a rare 22B it's not likely you'd find any resemblance

Re: Pic of your Peugeot.
That does look a bit more like the 406 spoiler; I guess that's Subaru's attempt at a sensible car.
That big spoiler is a rare part, though? I've never seen any Subaru (except the estate) without the GIANT GREAT BIG "LOOK AT ME I'M A RALLY DRIVER INNIT" spoiler and the DUSTBIN SIZED EXHAUST THAT MAKES A SOUND LIKE A GORILLA FARTING THROUGH A TUBA. The sodding things are all over the place, and they're anything but subtle or refined.

Re: Pic of your Peugeot.
i know exactly what you mean, there are 3 parents at my kids school that own impreza's, and as for the spoiler, the 22B wide arch impreza was a limited edition, and the spoiler that came on it is slightly different than a stock WRX/STI spoiler, most of the after market spoilers are 22B copies, so yes they are a common site but not the original ones, the small one that i posted comes on most UK classic shape imprezas and some import imprezas, but mostly on the sport model which is the non turbo car, i know all this as
1. i am a rally enthusiast and 90% of other enthusiasts are impreza owners, and
2. a good friend of mine has had a huge amount of imprezas so a bit of knowledge rubs off
and amongst a plethora of cars i have had the pleasure of driving the impreza turbo was one of them, and i must say i was expecting a bit more, well a hell of a lot more tbh, it's shockingly slow and under powered for it's weight and it doesn't handle that well either, i have a mk2 golf GTI which has a 2.8 VR6 engine in and that out performs a modified subaru in every department

My '98 406 has an original Peugeot spoiler (has the 'stamp' on bottom of it) and it looks very different from Plod's. To me that looks a lot like that grey Subaru's postedhighlander wrote:My old saloon also has an official 406 spoiler on, same as Plod's does.
