I aquired the wheels from a scrapped saloon a couple of years ago. The tyres I fitted are 225/45/17 Avon’s and totally transformed the ride, handling and looks dramatically. They made the MPG drop though from 48 to about 45 mpg. (on average) in no hurry with the cruise control set at 70mph running up the M6 to Scotland she returned a staggering 74.4mpg which I think is pretty good considering she was fully loaded with all the camping gear, family and collie dog. Our round trip from the south coast up and around Scotland and back was 1880 miles in 7 days without any problem. (Not with the car at any rate!) Recently wanted to sell he but as the prices are dropping I'll probably keep her until the end.
