Thanks for the advice

I was thinking of emailing a seller on ebay who is breaking an SE, but sounds unsuitable for my car then.

May just keep my eye out for a coupe one with the brushed metal effect.

As for the mirror backs
My mechanic mate is doing up a 530d
He has fitted an M5 bumper and side skirts,
I got him some carbon boot/bonnet badges
He is picking up 6 metres of 3M carbon wrap
He is doing the bonnet, roof, door handles, and B & C pillars

I asked him earlier if he can paint my mirror backs
He said lets just wrap them with the carbon
I was very tempted at first, but not entirely sure now
What does everyone else think???
I like them colour coded, but painting is going to cost money, whereas I can just do him a favour and i'm sure i'll get an offcut of carbon free

Never spotted that one. Was it one of the generic "406 breaking" ads with random pictures of a 406 or is there any chance it was the guy I bought my interior from? He's been trying to sell the silver door handles & various other parts from it for months now.

That is the guy who sold me my "mint" interior - with rusty metal seat bottoms & a little more wear than I would have called mint.

Last weekend I had the top of the rear spoiler flatted down, and reprimed back up
Left it a week to make sure there was no reaction again like last time
Today, I flatted the primer down with 800grade, and feathered the edges in with 2000grade, and then my mate resprayed the top half

Got to go back tomorrow and have it polished back up

I'm thinking of looking for the "1368" wire from the ecu whilst he's doing that

Also, when I bought the rear calipers from Omega, he damaged a slider getting them off, and gave me a third one for parts
Told this to the guy who was reconditioning them, that only needed 2 and that the third was for parts
Anyway, guess what turned up today

yes, three reconditioned calipers
New pistons, sliders, and seals
Only thing he didn't do was give them any kind of finish
Might pick up some smoothrite tomorrow and give them a paint
Not sure whether to just do them black, or give them some colour
There's also the rust on the centre of the discs, so if i'm buying some paint, then black might be best, but open to suggestions, gold maybe?

I know mine's a D8 and yours is a D9, but there's a chance pug "might" have left them in the same place, so any clues appreciated
