Ignore the pre-heat one as I think most Hdi's have that fault.....
The Navigation fault could be because you weren't moving.....?
Outside air temp is the same as mine but the temperature displayed is correct..??!!
All the other additive faults will be sorted with de-fap so that's cool.

Remember, just take one thing at a time and it will be okay.
Thanks :)

The brake switch coherence could be the reason cruise isn't happy.

Ignore all the MFD, Instrument Panel and Radio ones. Those are there on pretty much every D9 I've scanned (inc both of mine).

I can tell you how to turn off the fuel filler cap warning once you've de-FAP'ed it :)

Funny enough, rwb said exactly the same thing
I best not run before I can walk, priority is the exhaust... with all the speed bumps here I have to now do them at 5mph if that....
Exactly two weeks until Miss Pug is OFF the road and on drive way rest for the time being
I admit that this morning I parked her up near the garage for the extra room on the driveway, I locked her, walked away and had a tear or three in my eye, after ALL that I have done to her it's been quite an experience and it literally has been blood, sweat and tears.

It's nice to see we are all so devoted to Peugeot 406's we have to have a couple of them on the drive ways

Thanks Jon, Look forward to hearing about the fuel filler cap warning, no idea what half of these codes are suggesting... Surprised to see so many faults and in fairness I haven't managed to post all the faults because I have run out of space on Photobucket! (Any other free photo hosting websites?)

weird most of the faults you have are the ones on my car i get the satnav fault, the one about the brake switches and my cruise works fine, i get the same fault with the multi function display, and also one about the aerial not being connected.
my car drives absolutely fine so i just ignore them :)

Well there could be user error with cruise control... Or it could well be the silly stalks.
I've noticed to go back on the stereo stalk you have to press quite firmly where the other buttons are sensitive to a tickle!
It's were we have the same kind of faults, what year is your Pug?
Going to clean the "unreadable" sat nav disk and the lens in the hope that cures my sat nav isses. Does your nav work ok?

Most of those are normal / harmless
- Additive ecu will be sent to Coventry, it'll still whinge, but the rest of the car will ignore it
- Navigation stuff can wait till there's nothing left to fix / hell freezes over
- Radio aerial etc, as everyone says, they mostly all do it.

Has it got ESP?

Mine doen't work either, used to occasionally tell you where it was, but recently seems to report being about 30 miles WNW of actual location.

Thanks Doggy, I haven't looked for the ESP but I doubt it

Not overly fussed about the nav, I have a Tom Tom

Still trying to decide which is actually faster to drive, Miss Pug yes, she has no turbo but get the gear into 4th / 3rd and you take off, where as I can't properly test Pugster because his bits are hanging off  From what I have noticed though the Turbo spools reasonably easy, the torque makes it feel faster than what it is

Both cars have about the same BHP where as obviously being a turbo diesel Pugster has loads more torque than Miss pug.

Any volunteers to drive Pugster in a drag race with Miss Pug?
(Then when the exhaust falls off I can blame you)

I know it sounds a bit like a backwards step, but I always figured that if I got a 406 with the later display & sat-nav I was going to fit the normal display as these later ones seem to lose lines for a pasttime & would have just got on my nerves as it is too expensive to fix due to the shortage of working displays on sale.

Would it be worth fitting the MFD from Miss Pug & just binning the sat-nav?

Not really - it would leave a big gap in Miss Pug & I would not sell it for much then...
The screen itself is in really good condition and I quite like the lay out of the display, date, time etc... Give me a couple of Months and I may get bored

The cheaper non-satnav screen will plug straight into Pugster, all you lose is the second trip computer and of course, the satnav. Your screen is very good so may as well keep it.

I like my screen, nicely laid out, easy to read and can do a street by street detail of where you are - even when satnav isn't being used.. :cheesy: My satnav is also bang on, changes name and street with 1 second of changing position and has never let me down.

Keep looking, but I would never buy one without seeing it plugged in. There are a few on fleabay but the screen isn't on so I wouldn't touch them.....

You could always ask the seller to plug it in and power it up to check the screen before bidding.

I don't think any other car uses the same screen. Some shitroens/Peugeots use the same CD reader in the boot but a different screen.
