I must say i've been lazy and haven't done it yet. Though i have read the back ha.

I bought a 1 litre tin of Waxoyl that according to the blurb dries black.
It also says that a 1 litre tin does 2 metres squared of coverage. I guesstimate that it should be enough, i wont do the under engine bay so it only leaves the rear 2/3rds. The saloon model is 4 metres long so i reckon length ways it'll be fine.

I dont plan to wash under the car, my plan is to wire brush all the previous flaking underseal and rust off, hammerite then underseal with waxoyl. I hope to do this soon so i will take photos to show the world

In near related news, my MOTS failures nearing completion. Fixed the lights and its booked on for welding on a sill as i have no clue how to weld.

Passed me MOT, now got to pay £205 road tax seriously? . On other matters i bought a non- slip mat from Wilkinsons for £1.17 and some double sided sticky tape for 90p and made this. I cut around the ash tray so it can still be used

It holds a caribena near vertical so should be fine for a phone unless i roll my car.

A photo of it in place. I also sawed my gear stick in half, much nicer feel.

I think its quite a useful mod for £2.07 and yes i did saw the gear stick in half. Changing gears feels much more direct than before and i will admit it is a weird thing to do but i would recommend it as not only does it feel better but it does look better as well.

I've also shortened my shaft as it was a bit on the lenghty side previously. Makes grabbing the knob much easier now, and thrashing it around feels much better than before.

No puns intended. :cheesy:

Nothing majorly interesting has been happening recently, been very low on money since its near christmas time so i just gave the car a wash. Seeing since i hadnt washed it since i bought it and its a white car, it looks a million times better now.

Not the best photo quality but believe me it looks much better.

Plans before the new year
Fix a screw that holds on the drivers bumper, which will involve taking of a wing to remove a snapped screw (you can see the bumper coming away in the 2nd pic)
Remove the rear bumper and de-rust
Maybe under seal the underneath
Pick up an old ariel from the scrappy as the current one looks to big
Fit new license plate bolts (one has rusted and is un-removable from the car)

My plans from when student finance comes on the 10th of Jan.
Lower 40mm all around
Maybe leather steering wheel (worried about toying around with airbags)
A thorough clean (remove seats and foam the carpets, clean the seats of dirt) then clean the outside thoroughly
Get a new insurance deal, i know insurance is rising but then again i am getting older so hoping it should come down
and finally maybe 16inch alloys

the aeriel in accordance with the user manual is meant to follow the same angle of the windscreen, then it wont look so bad.
