Just mounted a new boost gauge...
Image
Wanted this style in PSI but Halfords only had BAR unless I went for the cheaper one but didn't look half as good :(
Not wired in yet but just got some of the hoses ready...

T-Peice and Air Filter.

Quite chuffed with this as it means I don't have to run the pipe right to the garge and in theory mount the sensor where I like and just run a wire to the gauge :)
Probably get it all fixed in tommorow before work :)

Oh I see, you've got the pressure line running to a transducer and that wired to a remote gauge. Nice, wouldn't have occurred to me, despite the fact that I work with that kind of system every single day >.<

Where are you tapping the pressure from? More fots plZ ^_^

I was thinking about grabbing a high-spec cluster facia and using the centre clock space for a boost gauge mount.

Anyway wired the boost gauge in last night and it had a loose connection, I had to push the wire for the sensor in quite hard for it to read :(
So took it back to halfords (I kept the pipes and the wiring and just took the gauge) and got another one, plugged it in outside halfords and it was exactly the same :( So I thought maybe it was the cable from the sensor to the gauge, so used the new one and it was the same :( Thinking it was more than likely a dodgey batch I went back in and got the cheap mechanical gauge and set it up redneck style :D

My backseat passenger took a picture on peak boost for me :D

15psi is absolutley bang on what it should be running standard, most opnly make 10-12 psi after so many miles and years so its awesome to see one thing still works tidy after all this time :D
Right now time to turn the turbo up :D

FAO Swiss... I'l get a picture soon but theres a pipe going from the pipe going from one of the intercooler pipes to the fuel pump, I snipped that and put a T Piece in it :)

Cause of accident: Hands and feet entangled in unknown plastic pipe.

Which reminds me, it's about time I hoovered my car out. I suppose I should wait for spring to arrive (ffs :frown: )

I know, just kidding :P I tell you what though, I've had some coppers pull me over when I was a lad that would have given me a bad time for that sort of thing ("what's this then sir, been doing some modifications have we? Let's have a little look under the bonnet, empty your pockets, blow into this" )
