Yeah, I'm sure they are expensive
I had a potential new customer last week with a year old Corsa that needed servicing, I had been recommended by a friend of hers, the dealer wanted £260 and lied to her telling her that only a Vauxhall dealer could service it...it's been law since 2004 that anyone can service a vehicle under warranty provided that genuine parts are used and the service schedule is followed (even the genuine parts bit is wrong because there is a ruling that states that you can use parts that are covered by 'block exemption').Anyway, she went back armed with this info that I gave her and got the service done for £130 and a large apology.I know I lost a customer, but I'll get the job next time.
